Nick Gibb, Responds to NAHT Concerns

In response to the NAHT’s concerns about the implementation of the interim frameworks for teacher assessment that have been put in place to support teacher assessment in Summer 2016, Nick Gibb, Minister of State for Schools, has agreed to reconsider the decision by the STA to set an earlier deadline for schools to report their judgments. As a result, the STA have amended their Assessment and Reporting Arrangements to reflect an amended deadline for KS1 and KS2 of 30th June 2016.

Pupil Asset users will be able to record their Interim Teacher Assessment judgments via the Results section.

DfE Publish 'Five things you need to know about changes to primary assessment'

In this overview of upcoming changes being made to primary assessment, there are 5 key areas...

1) Setting the bar higher
2) Preparing for the new tests
3) Getting it right
4) Teachers won’t have to fill out 6,120 check boxes
5) A new floor standard which sets high expectations for all

Pupil Asset users will be able to track the Interim Assessment Framework objectives via the Multi-tick section (if they want to!)

Data Dashboards closing down – Sept 30th 2016

The Ofsted Data Dashboards will not be updated with 2015 data. However, the current dashboards will be available until 30 September 2016, after which the dashboard website will close down.

Users of the School Data Dashboard can download PDF copies of the Data Dashboard for their school up until this date. The removal of the website will mean that the DfE will no longer hold the dashboards and they will be unable to provide these to users in the future.

Pupil Asset users will be able to save their PDF documents in the school documents section on the Dashboard.
